Rochon is a native of Torrance, Los Angeles suburb of Torrance she is her parents being Zelma who is a nurse practitioner and Samuel Staples, a business proprietor and graphic artist. Cerritos Senior High School located in Cerritos California was where Rochon was a student in 1982. In 1986, she graduated from California State University Dominguez Hill (CSUDH) with a Bachelor's Degree in Broadcast Journalism. She also majored in Theatre and Sociology. Rochon's return to CSUDH was in 2016 in the year she was a speaker at commencement of the College of Arts and Humanities.

Heather Storm works as a travel writer, television host and producer. Being a lover of cars she was also a host for Garage Squad at Discovery MotorTrend Network. Heather was the host and creator of Drive Yourself Local. In the series, she drives an old 1965 Ford Mustang on a journey across America and shares the small-town lifestyle. Ullerup performed the role of Julia Brynn in the 2006 remake of Battlestar Galactica, which was airing by Sci Fi Channel. The character she played, Ashley Magnus, was created for Sanctuary's initial and second seasons. It was her exit that led to heated discussion among fans. There was a desire to have the character back for a future episodes. However, the show ended in 2012. Ullerup played Bree O'Brien, in Chesapeake Shores. Ullerup was Maggie Thomas as the estranged ex-wife of Michael Thomas in Asteroid: Final Impact. Ullerup's recurring role in Hallmark's Signed, Sealed, Delivered series has been Dale Travers since 2016.
